Students Highlight Clip 2016 - Guitar Lessons

What a year it has been. We have had eight young rockers step up and rise to the End-of-Year-Video-Challenge. In it, they had to master a song and perform it to the camera. We had multiple advance students creating jams based on scales they mastered, and our very first production student directed video. In this one Dylan (106 Lessons) steps up and play the lead guitar parts of Sweet Child O’ Mine (including the first two solos in the song) on his classical guitar. This week some of my advance guitar students attended the 11th student Jam-Off (group jam). In this jam Aedan (65 Lessons), Mat (94 Lessons), Matt (66 Lessons) and newcomer – Kevin (64 Lessons) jammed over some B.B. King, Deep Purple and Guns N’ Roses Tracks. This was also the first time a production student (Aedan) supervised the mic placement. One of the unique activities my students get to have is the occasional group jam, where they can feel what it is like to play music with other guitar students. In this 10th "Jam-Off", advanced students: Aedan (56 Lessons), Mat (84 Lessons), as well as Josh (89 Lessons) of Northside School of Music, jam together over some Beatles tracks. As part of their production lessons, Ann (116 Lessons) and Aedan Edited the footage. Aedan also supervised the mix and master of the audio! #
